The procedure for registering vehicles by persons with locomotor disabilities as such does not differ from the registration of ordinary vehicles, with some exceptions:
- upon registration, persons with locomotor disabilities are exempt from the road tax (art. 343 of the Fiscal Code of the Republic of Moldova);
- upon registration, persons with locomotor disabilities are exempt from the 50 lei fee for the social fund;
- special endorsements are entered in the registration certificates, in accordance with medical prescriptions;
- persons with locomotor disabilities enjoy certain facilities in the customs clearance of such vehicles (Government Decision of the Republic of Moldova no.474 of 20.04.2016).
