The new identity document of a citizen of the Republic of Moldova is the Identity Card, which, upon request, is issued with an electronic signature incorporated. With it, you can access public services online directly from the evo.gov.md platform.
If you are residing abroad, the application can be submitted either at any multifunctional centre in the country, regardless of your place of residence, or at the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in the country where you are staying.
The document can be collected at the location that is most convenient for you:
if you submitted the application in Moldova and are leaving the country, you can request collection at the embassy or consulate;
if you submitted the application abroad and are returning to the Republic of Moldova, you can collect the document at the subdivision of your choice.
The application to change the place of collection can be submitted both in the Republic of Moldova and at the diplomatic mission or consular office.
