- the activity of a family doctors’ centre does not constitute entrepreneurial activity and such centres may not be founders of a for-profit legal entity;
- a family doctors’ centre is a legal entity and is founded by two or more family doctors holding practices;
- the state registration of a family doctors’ centre is carried out according to the procedure for the state registration of legal entities. The following documents shall be submitted for state registration:
- the application for registration, in the form approved by the state registration body;
- the declaration of establishment of the family doctors’ centre, in the form approved by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Protection;
- the regulation on organisation and functioning, approved by the Ministry;
- the opinion of the Ministry, in the form approved by it.
- a family doctor may be the founder of only one family doctors’ centre;
- a family doctors’ centre may have its own name, following the model: full name — Centrul medicilor de familie (own name); abbreviated name — CMF (own name).
- the name of the CMF must comply with the requirements expressly stipulated in art.9 of Law no.220/2007 and item 55 of the Rules on the organisation of primary health care, approved by Government Decision no.988/2018.
