Meeting with representatives of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe

At the request of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), the Public Services Agency held a meeting on October 30, 2020 with representatives of the OSCE 2020 Presidential Election Observation Mission in Moldova.

During the meeting, the activity and responsibilities of the Public Services Agency were discussed in the context of the elections of the President of the Republic of Moldova of November 1, 2020. Mr. Stelian Gorincioi, Head of the Department of Population Registration of the PSA presented the information on providing citizens of the Republic of Moldova with identity documents for participation in the election. At the same time, some statistical data on the issuance of identity documents to the citizens of the Republic of Moldova were presented.

Among the topics of discussion were included the aspects of  special  work schedule  of the territorial subdivisions of the PSA on 01.11.2020 regarding the issuance of identity cards of the citizen of the Republic of Moldova and the procedure of issuing temporary identity cards free of charge, as well as the conditions for the provision of  identity documents issuance to  citizens in penitentiary institutions.

Mrs. Sabrina Rouigui and Mr. Ales Jakubec, the OSCE observers, thanked the PSA executive board for organizing the meeting and presenting the relevant information. The executive board of the Public Services Agency, Mr. Vladislav Zara, Director of the PSA and Mrs. Tatiana Cunetchi, First Deputy Director of the PSA, expressed their gratitude to the OSCE representatives for the visit and mentioned the good working relations and the ongoing dialogue between the Public Services Agency and the OSCE.
